The decision to overturn Roe was a radical, dangerous opinion that was a direct attack on our bodily autonomy, reproductive freedom, and economic justice. We know abortion will not go away, but as we have seen in other areas of the country, access to safe and legal abortion has.
But not in Washington. In Washington, safe abortion has and will remain legal, and we welcome those seeking access to reproductive healthcare.
I have fought to protect our reproductive freedom, by ensuring abortion providers are protected, eliminating cost-sharing for abortion services and making sure patients in Washington have access to Mifepristone. In the Senate, I will continue to protect the bodily autonomy of all Washingtonian’s.
